Here are some frequently asked questions about our virtual home makeover service. We aim to make things as simple as possible, and to be transparent about our service, our process and our pricing. Our service takes up to 7 working days. We aim to provide your finished design sooner, but it will be no more than 7 working days.
Are your designs suitable to use for planning permission and construction purposes, or instead of architect drawings?2025-03-18T17:34:01+01:00
They are suitable to submit as a supporting document for a planning application, and we’ve had feedback from some customers that our visuals have helped get a positive outcome from the planning process. But most local authorities (and builders!) will also require you to show key architectural information on your plans for safety reasons,  including maximum load for load bearing walls, wall cavity measurements, location of services etc.
Can you create visuals for a space that hasn’t been built yet? For example a new extension or self-build.2025-03-18T17:33:19+01:00

Yes! As long as you can provide us with your specifications, measurements and location of key features (windows, doors etc), we can bring your plans for a new space to life in beautiful 3D. Just select your preferred interiors style and send us your measurements and we’ll do the rest. Please contact us if you have any questions about this, and we can help.

Do you refund the cost of my design if I am not happy with it?2025-03-18T17:32:38+01:00

No, unfortunately we cannot provide refunds as our costs are based on work commissioned, carried out, customised according to your pre-selected design requirements and unique to your space. We work hard on each custom design we create to give you the best possible recommendation for your space based on our professional design expertise. Thank you for your understanding on this.

Is your design 100% accurate in terms of the dimensions of my space?2025-03-18T17:31:17+01:00

As our service is online (which is how we keep our costs affordable), we rely on the accuracy of the information you provide us with. We will work to an existing online floorplan of your room (taken from a rightmove listing for example), or from a floorplan sketch including measurements that you have provided. In both cases we recommend checking the measurements you have included, so that we can produce the most accurate visuals possible.

How can I request tweaks to my design?2025-03-18T17:30:32+01:00

Please email us at mydesign@seeyourplace.com and specify your unique design number, and then list the changes you would like us to make in bullet point format. Feel free to include any links to images which will help us understand what changes you would like to include in your design tweaks.

If I don’t like my design can I make changes?2025-03-18T17:29:44+01:00

Yes. Our flat cost of £265 includes 1 round of changes at no extra charge. As our designs are based on our professional design expertise we understand that sometimes our interpretation of your vision may need tweaking. Design is very subjective, and interpretations can vary from person to person. Since we base our designs on the interior styles you have pre-selected as shown in our examples you can be confident that they will reflect the overall look you like. And although we will not be able to create an entirely new design based on a completely different style, we will happily tweak your design elements, including swapping out wall paint colours and changing individual pieces of furniture. We want you to be happy with the final result!
